Personal Quotes
"When it's all over I won't miss the bruises he gave me to impress girls, or the occasional scar which will give me a story to tell my grandchildren, but I'll definitely miss the pranks and the laughing and all the making fun of each other. I'll miss the funky advice he gives me about everything -- football, girls, video games, clothes. Most of all, I'll miss having an older brother." (on costar, William Moseley)
"For safety reasons during the rehearsal we had to use a rubber ball, which has a really strange bounce that made it hard to hit. Then when we were finally using the real ball for the scene, Will bowled it wide of me every single time so I couldn't hit it. I was furious. Then Andrew started to doubt that I could actually play cricket, and he asked me to pretend to hit the ball for the rest of the rehearsals. On the next ball, I hit it as hard as I could. It smashed into some of our lighting, and the crew yelled, "Skan-DAR!'" (on the cricket scene)
"He's magical. He's great with children. Amazingly fun and cool and funny. Lots of hair too." (about director Andrew Adamson)
"When I first met Georgie, she was very eager to talk. Georgie is great. She's small and hilarious. To laugh at. I mean with - to laugh with."
"I can counter everyone but Andrew. One day, because he's always taking the mick out of me, I'm going to have the best comeback ever. I'm going to call him up thirty years from now and say, 'Hey, Andrew, remember when you said this? Well...'"
"Well, let's see. Edmund is the black sheep of the family, the outcast. He's always trying to get up to the level of the older two by putting down Lucy. He's very immature and full of resentment." - on his character, Edmund Pevensie, in the Chronicles of Narnia
I prefer my character over all the others. I really think I have the best character. Of course, he's a lot like me. He is the tyrant of the family, which I am, and, yep, he succumbs to temptation very easily. Edmund is the black sheep of the family, always teasing Lucy. But, in the end, Narnia makes him good. He goes through the most radical change, starts to appreciate his family. The adventure really changes him into a better person. (Narnia production notes)

WILLIAM MOSELEY

Gloucestershire, England

Date of Birth:

April 27, 1987

Role That Got Him Noticed:

A Relative in Show Business:

William Moseley's father is cinematographer Peter Moseley.

Family Facts:

William Peter Moseley is the older brother of Daisy and Ben.

Education:

Attended Sheepscombe Primary School

William Moseley's Acting Background:

Moseley's dream of being an actor took a major step forward when he was just an enthusiastic 10-year-old kid. Pippa Hall, a casting director for Cider with Rosie, stopped by his school and although Moseley didn't nab a role in that film, Hall did keep the aspiring actor in mind when other films were being cast. In fact it was Hall's partner, Gail Stevens, who hired Moseley for his first professional acting job. Stevens cast him in Goodbye, Mr Chips, a 2002 telefilm. In 2004, Moseley beat out 3,000 young actors to land the coveted role of Peter in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Commenting on his casting, director Andrew Adamson said, "When we cast William as Peter, he was just 15 and had never done anything like this before." Moseley reprised his role in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, also directed by Adamson. "William's transformation was not dissimilar to that of his character, Peter, in the story, from this 17-year-old boy into a young man. I don’t think he’d even been on a movie set before. He was just this really great kid you wanted to be your big brother. And now, William has turned out to be a handsome and capable young man," said Adamson about Moseley's transformation over the course of the first two Narnia adventures.

Personal Quotes
On working on the movie: "It is quite tiring and it was a bit overwhelming at first, but everyone is doing everything they can to help, so it's cool."
Lucy is quite a lot like me in a way so it was very easy to slip into her character. Lucy's the youngest of the four Pevensies and nobody takes her opinions seriously as the story begins. When she opens this wardrobe, she's in a new world and she feels as though her feelings mean something there. (Narnia production notes)
(on filming 'Dawn Treader', without Popplewell and Moseley) Normally, I'm the most annoying one. So it's going to be a shame for Skandar when Anna or Will aren't around to shut me up.

Personal Quotes
"I can relate to Susan. She thinks in terms of practicality. There are certain areas where we're very similar and certain areas where we're not. I feel very defensive of her. If anyone accuses Susan of being an outright cynic, I'll say, 'No, she's not. There's a perfectly logical explanation for it all. Don't talk about her like that!'" (on her character, Susan Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia)
"Skandar has these eyes that are really expressive and quite penetrating." (on her first impression of costar Skandar Keynes)
"It's gone more quickly than I expected; the time has really flown past. It's a bit like a long and lovely dream, and now I'm ready to wake up." (on the experience of filming the Chronicles of Narnia)
"It's a laid-back set, and everyone's very friendly. Andrew is so relaxed that it makes everyone else relaxed." - On the set of the Chronicles of Narnia
Each of the characters in 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' has their own journey and Susan's no different. Like Peter, she feels the obligation of looking after her younger brother and sister and it's something that has made her grow up too fast - being saddled with all that responsibility. When she comes to Narnia, she thinks she's too grown up to believe in it. But, through this adventure, she becomes more open to the idea of being in this magical land. By the end, it's changed her for the better and she becomes unafraid of being a child. It's a real journey for her. (Narnia production notes)
You start wondering if they could have used CG and you have to wonder whether they'll need actors anymore! Dangerous ground!
